News Roundup 2018

Thank you

What an amazing 2018! We have just finished our last market of the year today, Christmas Eve. We wanted to thank everyone who has been part of our lives, some for many years others we have just met, without you we would have not got this far and be still around to tell the tale 🙂

Shows 2018

Some of the highlights for us started right back last February where for the first time we exhibited at Alexander Palace in London at Vegan Life Live, we were so lucky to have been asked to do a couple of live cooking demos, with lots of preparation, help from friends to cover the stall whilst we were cooking we managed to hand out around 150 samples of our vegan Caribbean breakfast, banana ketchup mousse and coconut curry over the two sessions! We loved the interaction and everyone tasted something new.

We then completed a busy show season and although numbers of customers were down a little on previous years, due I think to the uncertainty in the present climate we still managed to hit good sales. Finally this year we bought a caravan to stay in at the major shows, we love it and were able to share a few coffee’s, BBQ’s and breakfasts with friends at some of the major shows, West Dean, Great Dorset and Bennington Lordship, and some of the smaller shows. We also exhibited at the Excel this year at Plant Based Live, and then BBC good food show in December, a four day show with 73k visitors. We were so thankful to Holly and Andy, customers who have become good friends  who came to help us, we would not have managed without them! We are looking forwards to attending the BBC summer show too in 2019   discounted tickets are now on sale now if you would like some.

Local suppliers

We are also really chuffed to be able to say we are now using even more ingredients which have been locally and UK grown. As well as using local vinegar, bell peppers and herbs we were able to source all our peppers for our new sauce, Special Reserve Extra Hot Sauce from Yvonne’s Plants just up the road from us and a top up from our friend Michael at Warwickshire Chilli Farm.

In 2019 Yvonne will grow all of our Trinidad Scorpion Peppers. It’s great to know we are able to support another small business so close to us and for our customers know where there food is coming from!

Big up local business and artisans producers 🙂

Online Sales

Remember also that you can buy all of our products online, we have seen a surge in our online sales in 2018 and especially in December, we offer overnight delivery as standard and aim to ship out all orders on Tuesdays and Thursdays, remember if you need anything special just email or call us and we will do whatever we can to accommodate your request.

We hope to see you in 2019, we are beginning to fill out applications forms for the show season already and all shows and events we are attending will be listed on the blog and on facebook.

Come and see us and many other artisan traders, sample the products get involved with the party atmosphere and take your summer to the next level of heat!

Wishing you all the blessings for a great 2019

With love
